This is a question that I am asked regularly. The short answer is yes. We take into consideration all medications when beginning a new personalized nutrition plan. It is advised that you communicate with your primary care physician / nurse practitioner in advance of joining the Metabolic Balance program.
My role is to help you uplevel your nutrient intake through food and targeted supplementation to help manage menopausal symptoms (such as digestive issues, sleep quality, brain fog, energy, stamina, stress management, etc.) Should you require support with bioidentical hormones, I will refer you to a naturopathic doctor or nurse practitioner who is qualified to advise and / or dispense bioidentical hormone replacement.
My services may be covered under private extended health care plans such as a HCSA (health care spending account) within your health insurance plan. Ask your insurance provider about nutrition counselling coverage.
Coverage would fall under nutrition counselling.
I will provide you with an official receipt that you can submit to your health insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
You are responsible for submitting any claims to your insurance company. I do not submit medical claims on your behalf nor assist you with claim resolution. Questions regarding your coverage should be asked directly to your insurance carrier.
